Welcome to The Woolpatch - a yarn and fabric shop situated in the middle of Long Melford, an historic wool town in Suffolk.

I stock a small range of fibres and commercial yarns across various price points. I’ve got yarn weights in 4ply all the way up to Super Chunky!

The Woolpatch is also the home of ‘Lavenham Blue’ my own locally sourced hand dyed yarn using Woad. Everything about the yarn is traceable and locally sourced and has a very low carbon footprint. If you do the yarn crawl you’ll get to see it!

I’d love to welcome you to the shop during July and August. Come and have a browse and enjoy feeling and squishing the yarns. There is a lovey tea shop next to my shop, so if you do come over, pop next door for a perfect cuppa and slice of cake!

Long Melford has free parking all long the high street in front of the shops all day!

If you travel by train:

You would travel to Sudbury station and either a short 10 minute taxi drive or a nice 45 minute walk to Long Melford.
